It was only one part of a growing trend but it was fiercly debated by all. The president installed Bolton in the UN without the approval of congress. He said “NA NA BOO BOO!!!” and did what he wanted without the consent of others. He has been doing this to some extent or another for some time but time will only tell the full extent of how he will ignore everyone else to do what he wants. I guess he is doing the hear no evil, see no evil bit even though it is all around us.

I heard something… very interesting yesterday as I caught the last episode of the Daily Show. Joe Biden, (D) Senator from Delaware, mentioned running for president with a Republican running mate… John McCain. If it happens the implications are insane. Imagine, no more partisan politics and getting the job done because it needs to get done rather than squabbling over what one party wants over another. It would be so freakin cool either way if there was a flip-flop over who was the running mate and who was doing the actual running. Hopefully, this time around, we’ll get some worthwhile candidates that don’t say “NA NA BOO BOO!!!” and do what they want when things aren’t going their way.

Its to be determined if I am rushing into this but I need a vacation. I need a trip out of this country to some place warm and I’m going by myself. I could go to Europe but I want to go somewhere HOT! So, after some price searching I’ve come to a few conclusions.

1. Cancun and Mexico, though a great place to go cannot be visited on an impulsive trip. Right now it is time for spring break and all of the hotels are BOOKED! I can easily get a plane ticket but I can’t find a place to sleep.

2. Europe… again, its out because its cold and I really want to go somewhere warm.

3. Australia… tempting but its slightly cheaper to go to my intended destination. They do speak english here which for most is a plus but I love traveling to places where I can’t speak/understand the language. Cost here is going to be roughly $2000-2500 for the room & flight.

4. Expedia.co.uk has different hotels and cheaper prices than Expedia.com Even with the current exchange rate it is cheaper than paying straight US currency.

5. I have no money to spend on this trip. I will drive myself further into debt but right now I really don’t care. I think the whole thing would be a blast and is worth the cost.

6. Because I am by myself there are people that would like to take my money etc. I do have a good set of street smarts, especially in places where they don’t like tourists.

7. There was an episode on the Simpsons about the city I want to visit.

8. Its gonna cost 1800 for the flight and hotel

9. The city of my choice? Rio de Janeiro

Why? Because portugese is very close to spanish (which I can mangle but make my way through) and there are nice looking women down there. I miss meeting women that don’t hate all americans (more specifically military members). There is also a beach and sun and an ocean which is terrific. There is a possibility for some mayhem but I think the whole thing (besides the MASSIVE debt I’ll acquire). 95% of this is going to be on some form of plastic. If somebody out there sends me some money its a definite go. All I have to do now is get some feedback so email me.

If nobody responds I’ll assume I have a great idea.

Guess where this man is from… it should be easy… but I’m curious to not only see who responds but what the responses are.
