I got this in my email today and it is one of the damn funniest things I’ve ever seen. This kid is is going to get in some serious trouble. You may not want to zoom see these full size… just saying.
Below is what I received in my email
Priceless!!! These are by far the funniest pictures I have seen of anyone marshalling a jet or helicopter!
A few days ago somebody found a pic of a KC-135 guy marshaling a jet in his underwear. The next day Airman Jerknuts of our grand 34th AMU decided to out do the tanker guy. I think our guy won!
The chief lost his mind over this. He read 11 people their rights and they all lawyered up. The chief confiscated a bunch of cameras (not before the pics got put on laptops of course) The kid asked everyone if they minded, including the aircrew and super, no one cared. There’s a huge cluster-gaggle with it. Apparently every lawyer in the AOR plus a few extras have to be flown in for this.

Another report talking about the lack of care for troops when they return. We’ve gotten much better at taking care of missing limbs but we have been unable to take care of those with mental problems. Its a sad state and I wish it could be better. Read more at the Washington Post

I’ve got a little time off in my schedule… well, at least its a little here and a little there and that should hopefully cut down on the stress. Its not that I’m under a huge time crunch or I’m so busy with one project that I can’t even think its that I am busy with a large variety of things. I can handle it as I always have and this is a great opportunity to push through the crap and get on with it. So, a short list
1. pig bbq
2. tech order program
3. rewarehousing
4. retraining
5. my troop
6. flare program
7. tdy guys
8. self inspection
9. remote lan access
10. target
the list could go on for a while but its just a bunch of things…
well, best get started

I’ve been procrastinating lately. I’ve been doing well at my regular job as I’ve been trying to learn as much as possible but I’ve been slacking in almost all other areas. I’m not sure if the lazy days of summer has hit me and all I want to do is to just soak up the warm weather and be a turd or if I’m just having a spell of laziness. Some of the stuff I’ll have to do later on but it seems like every task can be pushed back until later. It appears that there is nothing so pressing I can’t make it wait.
In fact, I’m writing this post rather than taking care of some of the stuff in my apartment. The internet is a tool for procrastination.

Yesterday it was announced they had found a suitable candidate for the new position of War Czar. Many have asked… isn’t that what the SECDEF was created for? I’m not sure if this position will provide any net benefit for the white house or the american people but I do know its one more chunk of bureaucracy that has been added to the stack.
The guy is not a fan of the buildup option and I’m a huge fan of contrasting points of view. This could be a good thing but only time will tell.
All of the details can be found at the Washington Post.

More than anything else, GW, the “Commander Guy”, the decider, Dubya, or Bush, attracts more of my hate than anything else. In some ways, he acts as a lightning rod for any free hate that I might have at any given moment. I had a little time today to do some reading and I found a few reasons we should just get rid of his goofy cowboy ass. Dubya believes that his interpretation of the law and the constitution allows him to bypass legislation that he signed into law. Most of the laws he has reserved the right to ignore deal with the military. His belief is that as the commander in chief congress has no oversight of his decisions when concerning military action. I believe in checks and balances and I think that the President should always have a check. Unfortunately I’m not a deciding authority and this would be best left to the Supreme Court. Then again, we could use the ultimate check and just impeach his goofy country gun slinging ass.
It’s not only congress that doesn’t agree with what he’s doing but a large number of generals are starting to stand out and openly criticize Dubya. Of course, due to the laws in the UCMJ these are only retired generals. There has been speculation that generals that are currently serving could openly revolt against his decisions if the troop surge fails to work by the end of the year.
Outside of our borders even more people with that he would quickly leave office and let someone else make some decisions. The parliament in Iraq is drafting legislation to get us to move out should they reach specific benchmarks. If they approve the legislation and meet the benchmarks we have little choice but to leave and let them run the country. It is not our right to tell them how to run it as soon as they ask us to leave.
As long as he remains in office he is going to attract hate from people across the planet. Lets hope he doesn’t do any more long term damage in our relations with the rest of the world. We really don’t need to give fundamentalists more reasons to hate us because it makes the hate much easier to spread.

The last three posts are all from Jack Jacobs
“Jack Jacobs is an MSNBC military analyst. He is a retired U.S. Army colonel. He earned the Medal of Honor for exceptional heroism on the battlefields of Vietnam and also holds three Bronze Stars and two Silver Stars.”
He’s hit the nail on the head once again with another article. Its a shame I can’t subscribe to everything he has written. This man knows his stuff.

“Most observers would agree that a major component of our current unreadiness is the war in Iraq. The Army alone needs billions of dollars to replace and refurbish equipment that has been lost, broken and destroyed in Southwest Asia. After repetitive combat tours, valiant troops and units are tired, and we have asked far more from our dedicated reserve components than we should. Even without a war in Iraq, our Armed Forces would be much too small to defend the interests of the United States, and the increases proposed for the Army and the Marines are far too modest.
But perhaps the biggest impediment to defending ourselves is money. It’s not that the government doesn’t have enough money. The problem is that the government wastes lots of it.”

Or he could be brilliant… check out this exerpt from the debates last week.
I give this a few days before MSNBC comes and asks me to remove the content
Senator Gravel, at a forum earlier this year — I want to get this right — you said it doesn’t matter whether you are elected president or not, so then, why are you here tonight?
Shouldn’t debates be for candidates who are in the race to win the race?
Gravel: You’re right. I made that statement. But that’s before I had a chance to stand with them a couple or three times.
It’s like going into the Senate. You know, the first time you get there, you’re all excited, “My God, how did I ever get here?”
Then, about six months later, you say, “How the hell did the rest of them get here?”
(Laughter)
